Stimulating your Acupressure Points Works – Amazing !!!
–
–
The practice of acupuncture dates back more than two thousand years to ancient China. The earliest unambiguous written evidence known is a text called The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine, dating from about 100 BCE.
–
Acupressure, which is a non-invasive form of acupuncture, involves applying pressure at certain points in the body, which act as channels for life energy, chi, in order to fix or alter perceived blockages. Pressure is commonly applied using the hand or elbow (as opposed to acupuncture, which uses needles).
–
It first became popular in the Western world in the 20th century after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and it has grown wildly in popularity ever since.
–
Chair or Seated Acupressure is a non-invasive treatment specifically designed for the back, neck, shoulders, the arms, hands and scalp. It is also known as ‘On-Site Chair Acupressure’ or ‘Seated Acupressure’. It includes specific techniques to stimulate and open your acupressure pressure point. Chair Acupressure or Seated Acupressure is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine which states that there are 14 meridians of the body or pathways in the body in which chi or life force (energy) travels.
–
Traditionally, the basic sequence is no more than 15 to 30minutes, which makes Chair or Seated Acupressure the ideal model for the busy workplace environment where employees can benefit from this quick and de-stressing treatment. It also means people have time to come out of work and receive a treatment during their lunch break. It can be carried out in any setting as the clever ergonomic design of the chair means it can be carried anywhere and set up easily. The client does not need to remove clothes and no oil is used. The seat allows the client to sit comfortably with their head resting forwards on the support. The therapist uses their hands, fingers, thumbs, and elbows to apply pressure to the specific acupressure points and trigger points found in the individual.
–
The treatment helps to stimulate and balance the flow of energy throughout the body. In turn, this stimulates the circulatory, nervous, muscular, immune, and lymphatic systems whilst promoting release of endorphins and important mood-regulating neurotransmitters.
–
Other benefits of Chair or Seated Acupressure include:
